Small Commitment - Getting the foot on the door

In the third chapter of the book, The Psychology of Influence, by Robert B Cialdini, he explains another tactic employed by organizations, groups and people to extract compliance behavior. One method used here is this - getting prospects or people to comply to a small request. Once they comply to a small request, the idea is implanted in them and next, the prospect will voluntarily cede to larger requests or favors. So, how can this tactic be used in business or in making people comply to your agenda: 1. Find and learn how to extract small favor or commitment 2. Use that small commitment as a launch pad for more compliance.  I just found more link with real-life examples of how this is used by eCommerce brands to build brand connection and demand. Check this link about the implication of these mind strategies in User Experience.
